Serjeant-at-Arms staff and the First World War
List of staff in the Serjeant-at-Arms Department who were serving, and had served, giving rank, name and regiments. Dated May 1918. Twenty-three staff are listed as serving, and a further 6 as having served. The list of those who had served omitted Corporal Reginald Lanchbery, who was killed in action.

The Serjeant-at-Arms Department employed four Girl Porters during the war to substitute for male staff who were serving in the armed forces.
