The 'Memorandum on some of the chief reforms desired by women' dated February 1920 is among the papers of Prime Minister David Lloyd George. It lists progress, or lack of progress, on a variety of issues by the Coalition government. Under 'Extension of the Franchise' it refers to the replacement of the Women's Emancipation Bill with the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act as the 'first great blow' to women. However the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919 is also cited as an achievement under 'Women's Civic Rights'. A later memo compares occupations of women between 1911 and 1921. It shows zero women as barristers and solicitors in 1911, but a few in 1921 - a direct result of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919.
