Q: Can you as a farmer or knowing the Country I should rather say tell me whether what we have heard [illegible] as to the damage to Cattle and Sheep by driving [illegible] long journies is prejudicial to them?
A: Decidedly it is, I am farmer enough to know that from my own experience.
Q: They lose not only weight but quality?
A: Yes condition and health.
Q: do you consider Tunbridge to be one of the largest Cattle Markets in Kent?
A: I think it is the largest.
